Do I need to prepare my child for a photoshoot?

Short answer: no.

And for many children, preparation can actually add pressure.

Why preparation isn’t needed - Children don’t need to understand what a photoshoot is. They don’t need instructions or expectations.

In fact, telling them they need to behave or perform can make them more anxious. Instead, sessions are designed to feel like time together — not something they have to get right.

What *does* help

The most helpful thing you can do is arrive without expectations.

Bring snacks. Bring comfort items. Be ready to follow your child’s pace.

That’s it.

Your calm presence matters far more than any preparation.
