I almost didn’t book a motherhood session — and I’m so glad I did

So many motherhood stories begin the same way.

A mum scrolling quietly.

Saving posts.

Thinking, “I’d love this, but…”

The doubts creep in:

* What if my child doesn’t behave?

* I don’t feel like myself.

* Maybe another time.

For many mothers, the decision to book feels indulgent or unnecessary.

Until afterwards.

What changes after the session

Mothers often tell me they’re surprised — not just by the images, but by how the experience felt.

Slower.

Calmer.

More connected.

They see themselves in a way they haven’t for a long time.

Not as they think they ‘should’ look — but as they are in this season.

Regret rarely sounds like this. I’ve never heard a mother say she regretted having these photos. But I’ve heard many say they’re relieved they didn’t wait.

Because children grow quietly.

And these seasons don’t ask permission before they pass.
